I have 5 Pure rhode island red chickens, 1 males and 2 females. 2 are one year old and 1 hen 18 months old. They are very beautiful and healthy chickens. They are hand tamed as well.

They are molting ,
Molting means their feathers fall out and are replaced by new ones. Feathers are 85 percent protein. And it takes a lot of energy to grow new feathers, leaving little energy for egg production, so most hens stop laying during moltIf you need more info contact me. Thanks
