We are looking for 1/2 people or a couple, self-employed, to help with and enjoy the usual gardening jobs,

in a glorious natural Devon environment. There’s an orchard with a 30m polytunnel, a walled garden

with greenhouse and raised beds, a woodland and very big pond.

The work is year round and the jobs seasonal as required, including strimming, weeding, planting, mulching, hedge trimming

and pruning. Aquatics, tree work and other jobs would depend on your skills, training, certificates etc

We are also looking for a head gardener with suitable experience/qualifications .

Salary by negotiations, paid monthly by BACS

This is a wonderful environment, even in bad weather we can work in the 30m polytunnel.

We expect to work with someone as we do, considerately with respect, social distancing and non-smoking.

Reliability, punctuality, honesty and integrity are expected.

Productivity and good humour are appreciated.

A work ethic, enthusiasm and willingness to try hard are really important. A team player who is also able to work as an individual who knows their limitations and when to ask is helpful. Communication is fundamental to harmony.

Regular tasks include 'barrowing around', weeding, digging/planting, watering.

Jobs such as mowing, strimming and tree-work etc will depend on experience, certificates etc

We can do up to 3 days a week, usually from 8am to 5pm with an hour of unpaid breaks for mid am, lunch, mid pm and phone calls. Wages start at £11 per hour but special experience/qualifications RHS/Kew/other horticultural diploma etc may receive a premium.

We would suggest a trial month to see how it goes.

This is not seasonal work, we offer year-round work.

All tools (except secateurs) are provided and a car park space is available.

Appropriate all weather clothing, gloves footwear etc are advised but are upto you.

Whilst tools are provided we cannot supply the best secateurs.
