Our client, a prominent figure in the aerospace sector, is currently seeking an Occupational Health Technician to join their team in Rochester on a contract basis.

Key Responsibilities:

Performing health surveillance such as spirometry, skin assessments, and audiometryConducting vision screeningsMeasuring blood pressure, height, weight, and calculating BMIMaintaining clear and accurate documentation of assessmentsSupporting Display Screen Equipment (DSE) assessments and workstation evaluationsContributing to health promotion initiatives and updating the OH web pageCovering the front of house function during holidaysSupporting Occupational Health Advisers in routine health surveillance under supervision

Job Requirements:

Understanding of confidentiality in occupational healthAwareness of Health and Safety lawExperience in occupational healthExcellent verbal and written communication skillsIT literate with proficiency in word processing and spreadsheetsGood time management abilitiesAwareness of the limits of own competence and the ability to refer to Occupational Health Advisers when necessary

Desirable Skills:

Experience with the OPAS G2 databaseLevel 3 Certificate for Occupational Health Technicians or an equivalent qualificationFamiliarity with occupational health and wellbeing issuesAbility to carry out DSE assessments
