The Organisation:

A responsible and progressive charity, aiming to provide social justice and support to vulnerable groups of people across the UK; victims of domestic violence, ex-offenders, young people, people with mental health difficulties and those struggling with substance misuse. They are a well-established organisation with a positive market reputation and over 20 years of experience in supported living.

This company are currently operating supported housing services for rehabilitating ex-offenders that have left a prison setting. The service ensures the instilling of independent living skills, positive wellbeing and personal development within ex-offenders, working towards their bettering of life and prevention of repeat offending.

The Opportunities:

Intensive Needs Worker will be working full-time; Shift pattern- M, T, T & F 08:00am 16:00pm W, S & S 08:00am 16:00pm M, T, T & F 14:30pm 22:30pm W, S & S 14:30pm 22:30pm Competitive pay rates; Intensive Needs Worker are paid GBP19.55 (Umbrella), per hour. You will also be paid GBP0.45 per mile for travel between services. Contract length will be 3-months, - temp to perm opportunity Based in Lincoln, one of these postcodes LN11PU, LN57UA and LN58NW. The Responsibilities:

As an Intensive Needs Night Worker you will be working as part of a team, managing a portfolio of properties and tenancies across a designated area, providing an intensive needs service to a core group of people. What are the main duties of the role? Frontline support work 1-2-1 with 1 or 2 young people within a home environment. Duties include: Supporting the YP to enhance their independent living skills Tailoring person-centred action plans based upon any needs identified Devising and reviewing person-centred safety plans for each YP Supporting the YP to access ETE Offering support and guidance to the YP throughout Signposting the YP onto other specialist agencies such as mental health services, substance misuse provides (for example) Ensuring property standards are well maintained and within this reporting any maintenance to the central maintenance team and/ or landlord Completing regular health and safety checks Completing regular fire safety checks Maintaining the security of the property Maintaining good relationships with our neighbours and the local community Supporting the YP to access their local community and amenities with this Keeping documents and paper trails up to date and within this documenting all support with the YP within their dedicated support file Identifying, responding to and recording any safeguarding concerns and/or incidents as per Nacros Safeguarding Policy and local procedures Working in collaboration with several external agencies so having the ability to communicate professionally and accurately is key to this role Operating Nacro ICT systems Building good trusting relationships with the YP The Requirements:

Directly supporting tenants to manage their tenancy, assisting them with housing benefit claims and signposting them to relevant support services and liaising with support services where required. Conducting initial and regular assessments of the potential or actual service user including any risks, their needs, and requirements in respect of the service, to determine eligibility for the service taking necessary action where required are delivered. Working with the Housing Management Team to ensure the correct tenancies are issued, sign up new tenancies and ensure the service user understands and accepts tenancy obligations. Be involved in ordering furniture and goods for the property Work closely with the Asset Management team on ensuring property standards are maintained, repairs are reported in a timely way and ensuring the properties are suitable for letting and safe occupation. Maximise rent collection and adhere to the arrears management policy and procedure. Must hold a valid Enhanced DBS (Adults & Children) Proactive and able to use their initiative to manage a caseload. Previous experience or knowledge of social/supported housing processes is essential. The ability to support others in their tenancy sustainment and income management. Driving Licence (own vehicle)
