Sharp Consultancy are delighted to be working alongside dynamic retail business in the Rotherham area, who are on the lookout for a skilled and dedicated Accounts Assistant to join their small, welcoming team on a temporary basis, with the potential to become a permanent position for the right candidate!

Role Overview:

As an Accounts Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the finance team with day-to-day accounting operations. From assisting with the management of purchase and sales ledgers to reconciling bank statements, this role provides a great foundation in accounting within a vibrant retail environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Process invoices and maintain accurate ledgers (sales and purchase).

*

Assist with reconciliations and bank statement checks.

*

Communicate effectively with suppliers and resolve invoice queries.

*

Assist occasionally with credit control duties, as needed.

*

Help with ad-hoc finance tasks as required.

Skills and experience required:

*

Previous experience in a finance or accounts assistant role.

*

Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

*

Experience with accounting software is advantageous.

*

A proactive approach to problem-solving and improving processes.

*

Excellent communication skills and team player mentality.
