2022 was the biggest year to date for South Africa’s rising star Themba.
He wrapped up his 16 week Ibiza summer residency at the island's hottest new venue Club Chinois, while gracing the decks in hot-spots such as Mykonos, New York, Tulum & other key Ibiza shows including Hi with Black Coffee.
Themba’s unique sound is forged from his African roots creating his instantly identifiable take on electronic music. After releasing on high-profile labels, he established himself with 'Who Is Themba' on his own Herd label. His 2021 debut album ‘Modern Africa Part 1’ on Armada featured some of South Africa’s most talented vocalists as well as remixes from Black Coffee, Martinez Brothers, Damian Lazarus, Dense & Pika & Rocco. 2022 saw the release of another breakthrough single 'Disappear' with Nico De Andrea & 'Fragile' with FNX Omar, followed by Heritage EP featuring Fela Kuti, Sunny Ade & other legendary African music artists. Themba is currently working on ‘Modern Africa Part 2’ for 2023.
