Job Title: Statutory Accountant

Location: Leeds (Office-Based)

Pay Rate: 360 - 430 per day

Contract Duration: Until March 2025

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Statutory Accountant to join our Leeds-based finance team on a daily contract basis through March 2025. This role is critical in supporting the Manager of Statutory Accounting with the timely preparation, review, and submission of statutory accounts globally. You will take ownership of statutory account production for designated European entities, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and produce statutory accounts for specific European entities, adhering to local GAAP and financial reporting standards.Taking ownership for the preparation / production of statutory accounts for a number of European entities.Work closely with the Manager of Statutory Accounting to meet global submission deadlines and achieve timely sign-offs.Coordinate and support statutory audits, liaising with external auditors and addressing inquiries.Ensure compliance with internal financial policies and support continuous improvements in statutory reporting processes.Stay current on changes in international accounting standards and apply relevant updates to local entities.

Qualifications and Skills:

Qualifications: Professionally qualified (e.g., ACA, CA, CTA, ACCA, or CIMA).

Experience: Statutory accounts experience required; international experience is a plus.

Strong team player with experience managing change and a collaborative work style.Ability to see the big picture, providing valuable guidance and support.Effective in building and managing relationships across technical and non-technical stakeholders.Demonstrates strong negotiation, written, and verbal communication skills.Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.Technical Skills:

Proficient with IT systems, with SAP experience preferred.Knowledge of technology's role in driving efficiencies and enhancing service delivery.Professional Attributes:

Actively seeks and applies feedback for continuous improvement.Strong interpersonal skills, creating effective working relationships.
