My name is Valerio Vaiarelli and I’m a 45 years old Italian musician based in London.
My qualifications:
MMus Popular Music Performance (University of West London).
LLCM Teaching Diploma (University of West London / London College of Music).
Diploma in Pianoforte [v.o.] (Conservatoire of Music Vincenzo Bellini, Italy).
What my students say about me:
Valerio is one of the most methodical music teachers I’ve come across despite having gone through higher music education from BMus Bachelor degree to MMus Masters degree.
Whether it is for instrumental lessons or general music coaching, I couldn’t recommend a more punctual, patient and caring mentor.
Matthis
Valerio is a great piano teacher. He has a passion for music that is truly infectious. He is great at explaining complex musical theory while also keeping the lessons and the music fun.
Elizabeth
Valerio is a wonderful teacher. He is very patient and at the same time very good at pushing you to try new and challenging pieces and excersizes. I think Valerio is a great teacher because he picks up on what is interesting to you and uses that to help you get better.

About me:
My music journey started when I was very young, and I immediately realised that music was my vocation.
At age 9, I began my academic life studying classical music performance for a decade.
After graduating, I successfully completed a two-year teaching apprenticeship.
Through many years of research and playing over a thousand gigs, I explored all kinds of repertoire: Blues, Soul, R&B, Funk, Rock, Reggae, Pop, Latin, Jazz, as well as original compositions.
In 2017, I specialised in music teaching and popular music performance at the University of West London / London College of Music.
Over the past twenty years, while producing my own music and getting involved in recordings of other artists, I also gained extensive recording studio experience.
About lessons:
I started teaching when I was 20, so I have now a twenty-five-year experience in tuition.
My easy-going personality and my joyful approach to teaching make me at ease with every type of student: children, adults, absolute beginners or advanced, amateurs or professional musicians.
My lessons are always tailored to fit each student’s needs. Subjects covered at any level include sight-reading, technique, music theory, performance, study of repertoires (both classical and contemporary), aural training, harmony, improvisation, composition and song-writing.
I can teach all the grades and diplomas’ syllabuses: ABRSM, Trinity College, LCM and Rockschool.
Up until now, all my students have passed their exams with merit and distinction and none of them has ever failed.
With my classes, I can also help music producers who need to deepen their musical knowledge and bring their productions to a higher level, music lovers who want just to have fun and learn how to play their favourite songs, and songwriters who need to improve their skills.
I am available for in-person and online lessons.
Do not hesitate to contact me for further information.
