Hello! My name is Val, and I would love to help you improve your confidence and skills in English. I’m from the south-east of England, near London, with a neutral British English accent. I have a Trinity CertTESOL qualification and 11 years' experience teaching English. I also have Diplomas in Anatomy, Physiology and Aromatherapy, and years of experience working in many different hospital specialties, so I can also help healthcare professionals with vocabulary and pronunciation.

My lessons are informal, friendly and planned to your individual needs, and it’s very rewarding to see my students gain confidence as their English skills improve. I have one rule for my students - don’t worry about making mistakes - mistakes are just things we haven’t learnt yet :) .

I offer three types of lesson, and give a 10% discount for block bookings of 10 lessons:
- One-to-one conversation lessons (50 minutes speaking and 10 minutes feedback, with helpful revision notes emailed to you after the session - £15.00).
- One-to-one conversation lessons with a self-check vocabulary exercise for homework, with some practice of the new vocabulary during the following lesson (50 minutes speaking and 10 minutes feedback, with helpful revision notes emailed to you after the session - £17.00).
- One-to-one planned general English lessons, tailored to your needs (including preparation of homework and helpful revision notes emailed to you after the lesson - £24.00).
