I currently work as a secondary school History and Modern Studies teacher, delivering National 5, Higher and Advanced Higher in both subjects. I am a SQA Marker and Verifier meaning I can help candidates improve their exam technique and consolidate their knowledge of the course content to improve their grades. In the 10 years I have been tutoring, I have a 100% success rate in students passing their exams with most achieving an A when tutored regularly.

I work with candidates on a 1:1 basis to build their confidence and trouble-shoot any problem exam skills or areas of knowledge. I can provide long term support on a weekly basis or one-off sessions to help with a particular area of difficulty. All lessons are online via teams or an alternative online method if preferred. If you are local to Dundee, I could also do in-person sessions. I usually like to arrange a short call ahead of starting tutoring to find out what students have covered in class and areas they are struggling with. This is free of charge and allows us to get properly started during the first session.
