Experienced A-Level History of Art and GCSE English Literature/Language tutor with 7+ years of experience.

Qualifications: University of Exeter, 2.1, History of Art and English Literature BA & Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts, MA in Theatre Directing, Distinction.

A-Level History of Art: Greek and Roman, Early and Late Renaissance, 19th-century European painting and Modernism (1900-1945) Painting, Sculpture and Architecture. 

English Literature: AQA and Edexcel exam boards. Prose, Poetry and Drama. 

Prices:
£30.00 p/h for History of Art A-Level (Online)
£25.00 p/h for English GCSE (Online)

When travelling to student's homes I add £5.00 per hour to cover travel costs.

A bit more about me and my lessons:

I graduated with a 2.1 in History of Art and English Literature from the University of Exeter. I tailor my lessons to student's needs and identify areas that need further strengthening. For History of Art, I typically divide my lessons into the areas of Visual Analysis and Historical Context to ensure that students have an in-depth understanding and ability to write on both in examinations.  I teach key works across painting, sculpture and architecture. A typical lesson can range between 1-2 hours and I also offer intensive sessions closer to exam seasons to strengthen technique.

For English Literature GCSE I teach the canonical works on AQA and Edexcel examination boards across poetry, prose and drama, such as Power and Conflict, An Inspector Calls, A Christmas Carol, Of Mice and Men etc. I help students strengthen their exam writing techniques, essay structuring and ability to identify literary techniques. I am very passionate about literature and the joy that it can bring into our lives and create engaging lessons that will help you to enjoy the texts that you are studying to excel at the GCSE exam. For English Language tuition I focus on the key areas of creative writing and comprehension.
