As a highly experienced and fully qualified English teacher, I have spent over 15 years guiding students to excel in their GCSE Language and Literature exams, dedicating myself to inspiring academic success in students of all abilities.

I am also fortunate enough to work as an Examiner, marking for both AQA and Edexcel Exam Boards, thereby bringing an up to date knowledge of what Exam Boards are looking for in the exams to each session.

Whether your son or daughter is in year 10 and about to embark on their GCSE journey or whether they are in year 11 and need some extra support to get them the best possible grades for their final exams, I am passionate about creating a supportive and approachable environment where they feel comfortable sharing their challenges and asking questions. With a track record of helping students achieve to the best of their abilities, my tutoring approach is tailored to meet the unique needs of each learner; I don't take on many students for that very reason.

What I Offer:

1) Personalised Lessons: Each session is planned with clear objectives, focusing on the areas where your child needs the most support.
2) Insightful Assessments: I review school exam papers to identify key areas for improvement and design lessons that target these specific concepts.
3) Exam Preparation: I incorporate past paper questions into lessons, providing invaluable practice and confidence in handling exam-style problems.
4) Homework: In order to consolidate understanding and provide feedback, homework is periodically set and either marked before or during the next session, as appropriate.
5) Monthly feedback: To keep you updated on your child's progress, I will provide monthly feedback with any specific areas if concern.

£50 per hour, online only. The first session is half-price.
