Youth Justice Prevention Officer

We are collaborating with a Local Authority in Liverpool who are seeking a Youth Justice Prevention Officer to work within their Targeted Services.

Offering a 3-6 month agency contract with potential for ongoing extension, this full-time position (35 hours) is based in L7 Liverpool. (Remote working at times)

The competitive rate of pay is 17+ per hour, negotiable based on experience.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a newly expanded Prevention Team working with young people, parents and carers in school settings as part of a multi-disciplinary team to improve young people's engagement with education, improve attendance and support young people on their education journey

About the Role:

Your role will be to support young people to improve their attendance in school as well as improving their engagement in their education placement.The team works collaboratively with stakeholders including schools, safeguarding teams, health care providers, CAMHS and the Police to achieve the best outcomes for children in education settings.The role will provide the opportunity to develop creative, strengths-based approaches to working with children and families.You will receive regular supervision and support to enhance skills, knowledge and experience of working with additional support needs in their education settings.You will be based within the school although you will also be expected to support young people and their families within the community.Experience Needed:

Youth Justice Prevention Support.School Attendance Support.Local Authority / Public Sector. Essential that you are a Car Driver/have access to appropriate transport to travel citywide
