Our Manchester branch are now seeking a Warehouse Operative, somebody to perform a number of daily operational tasks working within the warehouse/office and as a delivery driver in order to provide the highest levels of Customer service.

Your role will be divided into three areas; warehouse, driving and office based. You’ll be responsible for picking, packing, and delivering 7,000 pieces per annum, driving approximately 50% of shift (up to 10 drops per shift) to a customer base of about 20 sites.

Receiving deliveries from the European Distribution Centre (EDC) and putting stock away in the correct location, you’ll pick customer orders and load relevant vehicles in accordance with a delivery schedule. When delivering, you’ll ensure all glass is delivered in a suitable condition and in a timely manner and carry out basic actions logged on the SAP system.

We’d like you to have…

* A full UK Driving License with a minimum of 3 years driving experience

* Experience of driving a 3.5t vehicle (Mercedes Sprinter/Ford Transit)

* Good knowledge of the Automotive industry and products

* Good geographical understanding of customer service area

* Good understanding of SOPs to be followed and adhered to

* Good attention to detail

* The ability to work effectively as part of a team

Flexibility to work shifts and Saturdays is a must. An FLT license would be advantageous.

Salary & Benefits

* Working hours are 42 hours per week, Monday to Friday plus alternate Saturdays

* Salary – £25,713 per annum rising to £26,369 after 3 months service

* 28 days holiday per annum inclusive of public holidays plus one day for each full year of service (up to a maximum of 5 years)
