Salary: £12.56 - £15.00 Per Hour, Depending on Experience.

Location: Coventry, CV1

Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 47 Hours Per Week

About The Role:

The company are seeking a skilled and experienced Spray Painter to join their busy campervan body shop team on a full-time basis. As a Spray Painter, you will be responsible for applying paint coatings to campervans and ensuring high-quality finishes. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong technical skills, and a passion for delivering excellent results. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the production of premium campervans and be part of a dynamic team.

Main Responsibilities:

Prepare campervans for painting by cleaning, sanding, and masking surfaces as necessary. Select and mix paint colours to match specifications, ensuring accuracy and consistency. Apply primer, base coats, and clear coats using spray guns and other painting equipment. Monitor painting process to ensure even coverage and proper adhesion of paint. Perform quality inspections to identify and rectify any imperfections or defects in the paint finish. Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage and handling of paint materials and equipment. Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment. Collaborate with other team members to meet production deadlines and customer requirements. Keep abreast of industry trends, techniques, and materials to continuously improve skills and knowledge. Assist with other tasks and duties as needed to support the overall operation of the body shop.

Experience / Qualifications needed:

Proven experience as a Spray Painter in an automotive or similar industry. Strong understanding of paint mixing, application techniques, and finishing processes. Proficiency in operating spray guns, air compressors, and other painting equipment. Ability to interpret and follow technical specifications, work orders, and safety procedures. Attention to detail and precision in executing paint jobs to meet quality standards. Physical stamina and dexterity to perform tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. Excellent teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues and supervisors. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment. Certification or training in automotive painting techniques is preferred but not required. Commitment to upholding company values and delivering exceptional customer service.
