Hardware Trade Counter Sales Assistant

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Watford based team at this family-owned builders’ merchant. Our Watford branch is your one-stop shop for a huge range of building supplies.

As a Hardware Trade Counter Assistant, you will be the first point of contact for customers, providing expert advice, processing transactions, and ensuring the smooth operation of the trade counter.

Requirements:

* Excellent customer service

* Knowledge of hardware and building materials is desired

* Good interpersonal skills, confident and able to approach customers.

* Ability to work effectively as part of a busy team.

* The ability to prioritise responsibilities under pressure and be self-motivated.

Hours: Monday - Friday 6.00am – 4.00pm, alternate Saturdays 7.00am - 4.00pm

Responsibilities:

* Greet and assist our customers in a friendly and professional manner.

* Assisting with deliveries in and out of the store

* Dealing with any telephone queries effectively and communicating with customers and colleagues

* Ordering goods

* Respond positively and effectively to customer's needs.

* Assist in the company stock counts
