WHAT WOULD YOU BE DOING?

SUPPORT WORKERS WANTED FOR AN AWARD-WINNING WRITER-FILMMAKER IN HER EARLY 30's WHO REQUIRES COMPLEX CARE BECAUSE SHE HAS MUSCULAR DYSTROPHY AND IS A FULL-TIME WHEELCHAIR USER. WHO NEEDS SUPPORT WITH LONDON LIFE, WORK AND PERSONAL CARE. YOU WILL BE JOINING A DEDICATED TEAM OF 5 PA's.

THIS IS NOT A LIVE-IN POSITION.

TASKS INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

PERSONAL CARE

WASHING AND DRESSING
ADMINISTERING MEDICATION
HOISTING AND MANUAL HANDLING
SUPPORT WITH DAILY PHYSIO

DOMESTIC TASKS:

COOKING / CLEANING / LAUNDRY / SHOPPING
COLLECTING PRESCRIPTIONS, PACKAGES, POSTING MAIL ETC.

TRAVEL:

ACCOMPANYING TO HEALTH APPOINTMENTS
ACCOMPANYING TO WORK MEETINGS E.G. REHEARSALS, SCREENINGS, FILMING, THEATRE, CINEMA, GALLERIES ETC.
SWIMMING, SHOPPING, TRIPS OUT OF LONDON AND TRAVELLING ABROAD



WORKING STRUCTURE AND RATE:

Monday to Sunday. Will work 25+ hours flexible per week (more hours available if desired) with shifts ranging from morning, evening and overnight shifts.

£16 per hour (£17 per hour on Bank/public holidays) and £16.50 per hour overnight (8 hours = £132 per night) on a PAYE contract. Which means you'll be entitled to 5.6 weeks annual leave and sick leave.

A valid passport or work permit, a minimum of 2 references and an enhanced DBS check are essential to this post. Applicants will be required to have a current enhanced DBS check or be willing to undergo an enhanced DBS check. The expense for this will be covered by the employer.

Interviews to take place online on zoom then applicants may be invited for an in-person observation.
