The AICS Group specialises in providing community-based rehabilitation and support to our clients who have a brain injury, cerebral palsy, spinal injuries, learning disabilities and present with complex cognitive, physical, behavioural, emotional and social needs.

The AICS Group is looking for a Female Rehabilitation Support Worker to work with our 8-year-old male client who lives in Sevenoaks. This role provides immense job satisfaction, working with a range of health and social care professionals in the client s home.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Our client was born prematurely and had associated complications during delivery which resulted in a lack of oxygen to the brain and subsequently caused brain injury. The client is fully dependent on his parents and support workers to meet all his needs.

We are looking for a Female Support Worker who can work the days and hours specified below:

School days ( Monday to Friday ) - 07:00am to 11 :00am

03:00pm to 07:00 pm

Sxhool holidays/ weekends - 07:00am to 07:00 pm

Depending on how settled the client is during the night, the shifts can vary between sleep-in and waking nights.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Essential Skills:

Current, clean driving licence Own vehicle to drive to and from work Minimum 1 year experience in health and social care Minimum 6 months experience working with children with complex needs Understanding of developmental delay and cognitive impairment Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to implement therapy guidelines Willingness and ability to work in the client s home Ability to liaise with healthcare professionals Willingness to learn and ability to take on feedback Good IT skills

Desirable Skills:

Flexibility to work an ad-hoc night shift between Monday Thursday with advanced notice Willingness and ability to drive the client s adapted MPV (multi-purpose vehicle) Experience of providing care to people living in the community
