Job Title: Social Housing Caretaker

Location: Ilford

Salary: GBP13.48 per hour

Hours: 8am-4pm

Are you looking for a stable, hands-on role where you can make a positive impact in your community? We are seeking a reliable Social Housing Caretaker to join our team and help maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for our residents. This is a static role, so no Licence is required.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct routine inspections and carry out basic repairs in communal areas. Report larger maintenance issues to the appropriate teams and ensure they are addressed promptly. Manage the removal of household and bulk waste, while promoting recycling initiatives across the estate. Patrol the estate to monitor security and report any anti-social behaviour or safety concerns. Assist tenants in emergency situations and provide on-call emergency support when required. Support Housing Officers in preparing properties for new tenants, ensuring they are in good condition. Maintain detailed records of all repairs, inspections, and incidents for reporting to management.

Basic repair skills Experience with minor maintenance tasks and communal area improvements. Customer service skills Ability to engage positively with tenants and address their concerns.
