Position: Site Operative

Location: Leeds

Salary: £14.67 per hour for all shifts

Hours: 37.5 hours/week, rotating shifts (06:00-14:00, 14:00-22:00, 22:00-06:00)

Reports To: Shift Supervisor

About the Role

We are looking for a dedicated Site Operative to join our Aggregate Manufacturing Plant in Leeds. In this hands-on role, you’ll support production, handle equipment operation, and assist with site housekeeping and minor maintenance. You’ll be part of a dynamic team committed to high safety and operational standards. This is an excellent opportunity for someone mechanically minded who values cleanliness and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

Production Support: Operate control systems, monitor production, and perform minor maintenance.

Equipment Operation: Operate a Loading Shovel and Forklift when required.

Shift Coordination: Communicate production and equipment issues to the Shift Supervisor, assisting with regular tasks.

Health & Safety: Set a strong example in Health, Safety, and Security practices, including cleaning duties, even in confined spaces.

Site Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness of the site and equipment, including using pneumatic hammers.

Training: Participate in training for operating mobile plant equipment, plant maintenance, and first aid as needed.

Essential Skills & Experience

Mechanically minded and practical, with a focus on cleanliness and detail.

Reliable, responsible, and punctual with strong time-management skills.

Desirable Skills & Experience

Licenses: Mobile Plant or Fork Truck License.

Industry Experience: Background in manufacturing, especially in waste, aggregates, or concrete.

Health & Safety Training: Knowledge of Health, Safety, or Environmental standards
