Senior Specification Technologist

I am recruiting for a Senior Specifications Technologist position to oversee and manage customer specifications across five diverse product categories. This role primarily focuses on QSR and food service, with a small portion of retail specifications.

You will play a critical role in ensuring all new product specifications are accurate and completed ahead of product launches, meeting customer requirements and adhering to regulatory guidelines. You will also be responsible for reviewing and updating existing specifications as per customer needs and BRC standards.

Key Responsibilities:

* Manage and maintain customer specifications across five key product categories

* Ensure new specifications are created and completed accurately and on time before product launches

* Review and update existing specifications in line with customer or BRC schedules and guidelines

* Provide technical support to the development team, particularly in areas such as ingredient declarations, nutritional information, and compliance with government regulations

Key Requirements:

* Strong knowledge of food specification processes and regulatory requirements

* Knowledge of nutrition guidelines, customer compliance requirements and ingredient declaration

* Experience working with QSR, food service, or retail food products

* Excellent attention to detail

* Strong communication skills to liaise with cross-functional teams including development, production, and customers

Desirable Skills:

* Experience in a similar role within the food industry.

* Knowledge of government guidelines on nutrition and food labelling

* Familiarity with food service, QSR, or retail sector requirements
