This permanent role within the defence industry primarily focuses on control and instrumentation systems, offering ample opportunities for professional growth and development. You will support the Test and Facilities C&I Team in designing, installing, and testing hardware and/or software for plant simulation systems, essential for pre-deployment testing of on-board control systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Developing hardware and software design solutions to agreed time, cost, and quality in accordance with project or business milestonesDeveloping and managing requirements and acceptance criteria specific to a system or product and/or across a system of systems, platform, or programmeProducing documentation required to support the design review process, including diagrams, technical specifications, supporting calculations, design evidence, and test documentationInstalling relevant systems per the design documentation, ensuring all work is completed safely and to relevant standardsEnsuring compliance against contractual requirements and adhering to company, safety, environmental, contractual, and local business processes, standards, procedures, and documentation

Job Requirements:

A relevant Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) Degree or equivalent qualification and experience within an engineering backgroundExperience in PLC and SCADA programming, C&I system verification test design, or parts specification would be advantageousDemonstrable experience of the engineering lifecycle and technical specialitiesWorking towards relevant Professional Registration is advantageous
