Are you a Civil Estimator with experience in the UK Water sector?

My client a main contractor with a Water Company has an exciting opportunity for an Senior Civil Estimator to work on their Delivery frameworks in the region.

You will responsible for delivering accurate and timely estimates across a mix of clean & wastewater projects involving capital delivery works, frameworks and competitive tenders.

Role: Senior Civil Estimator

Location: Leeds

Type: Full-time, permanent

The ideal candidate will:

To provide estimating support with bids and contracts to ensure robust pricing, risk management and governanceTo assist and advise the Senior Management Team on commercial influences and risks around any bidsLiaise with suppliers and subcontractors to produce accurate and timely estimates/cost dataTo ensure where possible supplier/subcontractor terms are back to back with the client requirements and if not to impact assess any deviationsResponsible for prioritising workload and supporting the team to produce results in a timely manner to meet business needsDay to day liaison with, and influencing of, key stakeholders, such as customers and operational colleaguesTo develop and implement changes to process, following understanding of a need to make changes to improve performanceTravelling to sites to ascertain scope of works as & when required

Knowledge Requirements:

Preferably experience of delivering water and/or wastewater projectsAbility and desire to identify opportunities and influence changeAbility to react to constant workloads and delegate accordinglyCommercial and contractual knowledge and understanding of various forms of NEC Contracts (Options A to E)Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office packages such as excel, word, PowerPoint etcKnowledge of estimating software packages such as Conquest, Causeway, Candy etcFull UK driving licence
