SEN Teaching Assistant (Mainstream Secondary School)

Are you an energetic and resilient individual with experience supporting students with additional needs? We are seeking a SEN Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and vibrant secondary school in Walthamstow, starting ASAP.

Position: SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Walthamstow

Pay Rate: £95 to £110 per day (umbrella)

Start Date: ASAP

Monday, Tuesday and Thursday

Key Responsibilities:

Supporting students in Year 11 with challenging behaviour, including those with ASD, ADHD, and SEMH.

Providing tailored support to ensure students remain engaged in their learning.

Managing behaviour effectively, especially with larger Year 11 boys, and fostering a positive learning environment.

Working closely with teachers to provide a supportive, inclusive classroom experience.

What We're Looking For:

Someone with a big personality who can build strong rapport with students and manage classroom dynamics.

Experience working with students with challenging behaviour, ASD, ADHD, and SEMH.

A proactive and empathetic approach to supporting students' emotional and educational needs.

The ability to stay calm and positive in challenging situations-no personal care required.If you are confident in working with students who need extra support and are eager to make a difference in a lively school environment, we would love to hear from you!
