About this client: Where to begin... Anna (21) is an exceptional young woman with a love for life, laughter, fun, and has a great sense of humour. Anna has many interests including listening to music, going to wheelchair dance classes, the theatre, and spending time at her holiday home in Norfolk and boating! Anna is dependent on others to meet all her care needs; she has cerebral palsy, epilepsy, dystonia, J-PEG (for all nutrition, fluid and medication), a stoma, and requires Non-Invasive Ventilation throughout the night, and is a wheelchair user. Anna uses Eye Gaze to play games and finds ‘Yes/No’ communication the easiest to support her non-verbal communication. Despite her complex medical needs, Anna thrives with the support of her parents and team, enabling her to reach her full potential and embrace each day and every opportunity.

Overview of role: Anna leads a busy life, and her schedule is always jam-packed with things to do; currently she attends college, however, she will graduate this Summer, meaning there will be more time to explore new meaningful activities or different facilities Anna will enjoy. During each day, Anna is supported by two team members, and you will assist with all her ADLs, personal care, moving and handling, administering medication, therapy programme and facilitating her to access the world around her. Anna requires a waking night carer to assist her with night-time routine, continuously monitor her and tend to her as and when required. This position is full-time with a mixture of days, waking nights and some weekends. The rota is provided a minimum of 4 weeks in advance, ensuring the team have time to plan and supports a great work/life balance.

Who this job would suit: You do not need years of experience; you’ll be kind, caring and positive with a real passion to assist and make a real difference to others. You will be creative, enthusiastic and proactive and enjoy working as part of a team. Anna’s parents and her team have a can-do attitude and think outside the box. If this sounds like you, please apply today.

What’s great about this job: Supporting Anna and being part of her team is by far the best aspect of this role, however, you will also benefit from excellent person-centered training, continue professional development, 4 weeks paid holidays per year, workplace pension, and a competitive salary. Opportunities to join such a fabulous team are rare – apply today to find out much more about Anna and see if this is the role for you!

Please note: Gender is a genuine occupational requirement under paragraph 1, schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010 for this role. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide sponsorship for any of our vacancies.
