School Librarian

ASAP Start

Full-Time

8:30am to 5pm

Initial temporarty contract, with the potential to become permanent

I am currently working with an independant school in Leatherhead who are seeking a Librarian to join with them. The school caters for students aged 2-16 years old.

Qualifications

* General knowledge of library management preferable, but not essential.

Knowledge

* yKnowledge of and a love of literature, including children’s books.

Skills - Be able to:

* Maintain professional relationships with colleagues.

* Cooperate with other professionals and outside agencies employed to work with school and/or pupils.

* Provide information about pupil performance to children, parents and other staff.

* Communicate effectively with pupils, parents and colleagues.

* Deal with professional matters and sensitive issues diplomatically.

* Observe confidentiality.

Personality

* Ability to inspire pupils.

* Be willing to participate in wider life of the school.

* Flexible, adaptable and able to use initiative.

* Have good attendance and excellent punctuality.
