Registered Nurse - Specialist Neurological Care Centre

Appoint Healthcare are proud to partner with a leading UK Charity supporting people and families with acquired brain injuries and disabilities. We are looking for a qualified Registered Mental Health nurses ( RMN ), Registered Learning Disabilities Nurses RNLD or RNMH ) or Registered Adult Nurses ( RGN ) to join the team within a specialist neurological care centre based in Hitchin

Job Title: Registered Nurse - Days only

Service Type: Brain Injury Rehabilitation

Location: Hitchin, Hertfordshire

Salary: GBP15.65 - GBP17.73 per hour

Hours: 3 shifts per week across 7 days, fixed shifts may be considered, please advise us of what would work for you and your circumstances

This is a really rewarding setting, staff morale is high and you will be working closely with the service users and their families, providing the care people need to optimise their health and wellbeing, maximise their independence, and support their emotional and social needs. This specialist neurological care centre based in Hertfordshire, caring for people aged 18 and over a range of neurological conditions, provide the care people need to optimise their health and wellbeing, maximise their independence and support their emotional and social needs. Caring for people aged 18 and over with conditions such as Cerebral Palsy, Head/Brain Injury, Huntington's Disease, Motor Neurone Disease, Multiple Sclerosis, Muscular Dystrophy, Parkinson's Disease and Stroke, the service has 50 beds overall with 22 beds being nursing beds and the remainder are residential. You have full MDT on site and will have the opportunity to collaborate with Neuro and clinical Psychologists, Speech and Language Therapists, Physiotherapists and occupational therapists The service is quite rural and so ideally you will have access to your own vehicle.

About the role:

-Assess, plan, implement and evaluate individualised care using evidence based guidelines

-To work collaboratively with the inter-disciplinary team to deliver high quality care

-Maintain all records in line with corporate policies and procedures and NMC guidelines

-Carry out all clinical care in line with company policies and procedures

-Ensure the care team provide all care in line with the inter-professional evidence based care plan

-Where appropriate be responsible for the management of patient care during the shift
