Location: Plymouth

Contract Type: Full-time, Monday-Friday

Are you looking for a career in purchasing within an innovative and fast-growing company? Join our client as a Purchasing Assistant, where you’ll play a crucial role in supporting their purchasing team and ensuring the project managers can provide timely delivery of products to customer sites.

This would suit someone who is comfortable with negotiations and eager to communicate with a range of suppliers to secure the best deals. They will provide full training on product knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:

- Building relationships with suppliers and internal teams

- Negotiating with suppliers to ensure best pricing

- Conducting regular supplier reviews

- Making project-based purchases within budget

- Handling reactive purchasing needs on-site

- Ensuring timely delivery of goods to project sites

- Resolving account and ordering issues

- Managing one-off procurement tasks for custom projects

- Running annual tender exercises per spending category

What You’ll Need:

- Strong attention to detail

- Experience in buying/procurement is helpful but not essential

- Excellent negotiation and communication skills

- Strong data entry capabilities
