Property Compliance & Inspections Officer (PRS)

Location: Southend–on–Sea, covering Essex and the Southeast

Salary: Competitive, based on experience

Hours: 9am 5:30pm

Please note possessing a driving license is mandatory for this role.

We are seeking a motivated Property Compliance & Inspections Officer to join our team. You will play a vital role in ensuring our PRS portfolio is safe, well–maintained, and fully compliant with legal and council requirements. This is a key position supporting our Works and Compliance Manager in maintaining the highest standards of health & safety and property upkeep.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct property inspections to identify maintenance needs and compliance with council licensing. Provide detailed site survey reports for void rental units, highlighting necessary works. Inspect reported maintenance issues and coordinate with the maintenance team to arrange appropriate contractors and works orders. Perform periodic checks to ensure ongoing property conditions meet safety and regulatory standards. Participate in the out–of–hours emergency rota, providing clients with 24/7 support. What We re Looking For:

At least 3 years experience in lettings or property maintenance, with a strong understanding of private sector housing legislation. Full UK driving licence is mandatory (company car provided). Knowledge of property maintenance, H&S regulations, and council licensing requirements. Excellent communication skills to liaise with tenants, contractors, and local authorities. Ability to manage a varied workload independently and under pressure. Strong attention to detail and proficiency in Word, Excel, and property–based software (MRI Evolution experience desirable). Full UK driving licence (company car provided). Qualifications:

GCSEs in Maths and English (Grade C or above). ARLA qualification desirable but not essential. Why Join Us?
