A great new opportunity to join a busy manufacturing organisation as a Production Planner

Role responsibilities include;

Develop and maintain detailed production schedules based on customer demand, product lead–time, design and production capacity and inventory levels Monitor and manage Work Centre Groups and adjust schedules as needed to meet changing demands. React to changes in demand through expediting and delaying production and purchased goods. Expedite operations that delay schedules and alter schedules to meet unforeseen conditions. Escalate issues with capacity levels preventing client deliveries from being achieved within business lead time Ensure lean production sequencing throughout all work centre groups and operations Review and manage schedules with production teams, project managers and key personnel. Plan and execute supply of externally purchased components in line with production schedules and demand Collaborate with procurement, manufacturing, and logistics teams to ensure optimal resource allocation throughout the production and supply chains Implement best practices for production planning and inventory management, analysing production data and trends to identify areas for improvement. Communicate effectively with cross–functional teams to ensure alignment and resolve any issues. Assist in forecasting demand from sales and translating into manufacturing models to achieve revenue targets Key skills required;

Experience of working within Materials & Production Planning Experience of working in a manufacturing environment Experience using MRP software Strong organisational & problem–solving skills Excellent communication skills This role will be fully office–based Monday – Friday
