Production Operative (Electrical Assembly)

Gosport.

Hours of work are Monday to Thursday 8am to 4.30pm, and 8am to 1pm on Fridays.

UK EYES ONLY. Candiates need to have been boen in the UK and hold a UK passport.

The client manufactures products used across the defence sector and are looking for individuals with Electrical Assembly experience as follows:

Key areas of responsibility include:

Prepare and assemble units / PCB's (including soldering) in accordance with detailed work instruction sheets, customer specific drawings and specifications.Read and interpret complex CCA drawings, including systems and notesVerify that routings and detailed Work Instruction Sheets have been followed for all activitiesAdhere to the Company's quality operating procedures at all times during the execution of day to day assembly activities, complying with IPC-A-610, J-STD-001, AS9100 and NADCAP procedures where requiredEnsure compliance to the Company's Health and Safety and Environmental proceduresBecome proficient in the procedures and processes relevant to the position and to highlight training needs when requiredAct at all times in accordance with the terms and conditions described in the Employee's contract of employmentApply a professional and conscious approach in your day to day operationsEngage in 5s activities as required by local supervision and other Lean events when required to do soCarry out any other duties commensurate with your skills

Skills/Qualifications:

Proven and demonstrable experience of working within electronic assembly / PCB operations, ideally within the defence or aerospace sectorA good understanding of Health and Safety Management within an engineering / manufacturing environmentThe ability to demonstrate attention to detail and produce a high standard of work, apply a 'right first time' approachIdeally qualified to IPC and JSTD soldering standardsWillingness and desire to learn new skills and invest in professional developmentExcellent communications skills with proven experience of engaging and building relationships within a team
