Our client, a leading organisation in the Defence & Security sector, is seeking a Principal Software Engineer for a contract role. This is an exceptional opportunity to contribute to the delivery of Combat Air Project Software Components and Documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

Act as the technical lead and be responsible for the delivery of software artefacts (code and documentation)Ensure software is developed and released in accordance with company processesEngage with engineering management and key stakeholders to provide progress updatesCompletion of work items assigned from Sprint planning meetingsUpdates to the DOORS requirements and test specification modulesC+ Code updatesUpdates to unit and integration testsExecution of host and target test suitesRework of review comments provided by other team membersCompletion of documentation deliverables and internal documents to ensure complianceDemonstration of completed work items merged into the Git Develop branches at Sprint Review meetingsReview of work items completed by other team members

Job Requirements:

Proficiency in C+Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio 2019Knowledge of Wind River Workbench, Linux SDK (or equivalent)Windows host-based development skillsExperience with VxWorks 7 and Linux target RTOS developmentDOORS requirements management experienceExperience with High Integrity SoftwareAgile development using Azure DevOps ALMExperience delivering software within a software teamIf you are a skilled Principal Software Engineer ready to take on a challenging role in the Defence & Security sector, we would like to hear from you.
