Job Opportunity: Safety Case Developer - Nuclear Site

Join our team and contribute to the safety of nuclear operations! We are seeking a skilled professional to assist in the development and ongoing improvement of the nuclear site safety case.

The role is fully remote apart from once a month onsite Visits to Barrow In Furness.

Key Responsibilities:

Hazard identification and analysisDeterministic and probabilistic safety assessmentsSupporting ongoing periodic reviews of safety activitiesAssisting with regulatory discussions (ONR/DNSR)Collaborating with engineering and human factors teams for substantiation

Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications:

Degree in engineering or an equivalent science/engineering disciplineExtensive experience in Safety Case development, ideally in Nuclear or other high-hazard industriesFamiliarity with Naval Nuclear programs is a plusSkills:

Strong communication and stakeholder interaction abilitiesClear, concise, and logical writing skillsInfluential in challenging environmentsQualifications:

Degree in engineering or equivalent (Expected/Preferred)Experience in safety case authoring and understanding modern nuclear safety standardsFamiliarity with nuclear safety cases for submarines is an advantageExperience in maritime, defense, or safety engineering industriesThis is an exciting opportunity for a driven individual with the right expertise to play a crucial role in maintaining the safety of nuclear operations.
