Principle Mechanical Design Engineer

SALARY - UP TO 60,000!

LOCATION - STEVENAGE

The role:

We are seeking experienced Principal Mechanical Design Engineers to contribute across all stages of the product life-cycle, from future mechanical concepts and detailed design to qualification, production, and in-service support. In this role, you will lead the development of advanced mechanical solutions for complex weapons and weapon systems, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and high-quality outcomes. What we want from you:

Degree, HND, or HNC qualified with experience in mechanical design and development in areas such as mechanisms, structures, assembly and integration, and concept selection and development.Ability to lead mechanical design work packages.Experience working within multi-disciplinary teams, with an understanding of related challenges.Familiarity with proving and qualification activities to ensure compliance with requirements.Robust design experience across the product lifecycle (CADMID).Relevant 3D CAD/CAE experience (training on preferred CAE tools will be provided).
