Lead Systems Engineer -Transversal Lead

Location: Barrow (2 days a fortnight on site)

Rate: £55.25 ph Umbrella

Duration: 12 Months

Our client are looking for Transversal Lead, on a contract basis with a team based out of Barrow, the role will be hybrid working with 2 days a fortnight on site. The client is looking for someone with strong Systems Engineering background, preferable from a defence background, but candidates from the automotive and aerospace industry will have transferable skills.

This role is intended to act as an interface between project and the wider transversal stakeholder community. This is expected to be a different process from that used on Dreadnought with a focus on system and part level assessments and ‘townhall’ sessions to communicate systems design intent to transversal stakeholders to better effect communication and workflow.

What you’ll be doing:

Management of Transversal Design Policys

Management of interactions between the system owner and the transversal requirements owners

Support to the development of MBSE transversal policy and process

Embedding LFE and lessons learned into the SSNA Programme

Key Skillset

Knowledge of Transversal management

Strong Systems Engineering Background
