Job Role:

Providing advice on product safety matters to project and engineering managers delivering the programmes and ensuring the safety considerations are correctly considered and implemented to ensure risks are ALARP.

Engaging with third parties, to review and gather supporting safety case evidence.

Developing safety arguments, both physical and functional, using appropriate safety analyses methods (e.g. fault tree, functional hazard analysis), producing and updating safety case and safety management documentation using appropriate regulations and standards.

Proven Knowledge:

• Safety Engineering processes, practices & tools

• Clear understanding of safety engineering & assurance principles

• Hold significant/relevant knowledge of applicable legislation and standards (e.g., HASAWA, COSHH, REACh, BS EN 61508, Def Stan 00-056, Def Stan 00-055 etc.)

Additional:

Due to the sensitive nature of the product all applicants must have worked within the Defence / Military industry within the last 12 months or be capable of obtaining Security Clearance (SC level minimum)
