Plumbing & Heating Trade Counter Assistant

Hours: Monday – Friday 7am to 5pm, alternate Saturdays 6.30am to 3.30pm

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team a family-owned builders’ merchant. At our Willesden store we offer a wide range of plumbing and building supplies.

As a Plumbing & Heating Trade Counter Assistant, you will be the first point of contact for customers, providing expert advice, processing transactions, and ensuring the smooth operation of the trade counter.

Requirements:

* Solid understanding of plumbing materials.

* Good interpersonal skills, confident and able to approach customers.

* Ability to work effectively as part of a busy team.

* The ability to prioritise responsibilities under pressure and be self-motivated.

Responsibilities:

* Assist customers with plumbing product inquiries and provide expert advice.

* Process orders accurately, handle invoicing, and manage payments efficiently.

* Replenish stock on the shop floor and participate in regular stock counts.

* Assist with deliveries to and from the store.

* Handle telephone inquiries effectively, maintaining clear communication with customers and colleagues.

* Respond positively and promptly to customer needs
