We're a leading manufacturer of convenience food in the UK and our purpose is to make every day.

We're a vibrant, fast–paced leading food manufacturer. Employing around 13,600 colleagues across 16 manufacturing units and 17 distribution depots across the UK. We supply all the UK's food retailers with everything from Sandwiches, soups and sushi to cooking sauces, pickles and ready meals, and in FY23, we generated revenues of 1.9bn.

Our vast direct–to–store (DTS) distribution network, comprising of 17 depots nationwide, enables us to make over 10,400 daily deliveries of our own chilled and frozen produce and that of third parties.

Here at Manton Wood, we have a team of around 1,700 colleagues. We produce sandwiches and wraps for some of the biggest retailers in the UK including Co–op, Asda, Morrisons, Boots, Aldi and Lidl.

Our Manton Wood site has a gym, restaurant with hot food and a staff shop available to all our colleagues.

What you'll be doing

Shift: Days, Sun to Wed 7 to 16:30

Utilise available planning systems to convert sales forecasts into achievable production and material plans and schedules that optimally balance customer service and operational cost efficiencyManage risks within the plan and amend orders where possible/practical to achieve customer service and stock targetsShare forecasts with suppliers and work with them to resolve issues with materials availabilityMeasure, minimise and publish expected obsolete/over stocks (finished product and/or raw materials)Champion ongoing communication with the operations teams to ensure accurate exchange of informationPropose and implement continuous improvements in own areaMaintain a state of perpetual audit–readiness for all audits (GMP, H&S, Technical, Customer, Accreditation Bodies etc.) to ensure working practices are compliant at all timesTranslate production plans into material requirements and convert them into supplier purchase orders
