I am looking for personal care for a Child
The candidate should be a woman*
Drivers licence required: No
Hours per week: 6-8 hours per week.
Flexible Part time shifts during school holidays
Hourly pay rate: £12-£13 depending on experience
Our 12-year-old daughter has Cerebral Palsy, Epilepsy (well controlled by medication), and a Visual Impairment, and uses a wheelchair full time. We are looking for a patient and cheerful non-smoking PA to provide our daughter with care and company at home, and to take her out socially, helping her to develop her independence, interact with others, and have fun.
Our daughter is a talkative, animal loving girl who enjoys activities including theatre, singing, reading, baking, arts and crafts, swimming, and bowling. You should have previous experience of working with children/teenagers with disabilities, and the confidence to be reactive and administer First Aid, if required. Full training will be provided. The role involves personal care tasks, including toileting, assisting transferring in/out of wheelchair, pushing her wheelchair when out and about, and generally helping our daughter do the things she cannot do independently.

Additional requirements Non-smoker due to medical reasons, Non-smoker preferred or someone willing to refrain from smoking during working hours, Vulnerable to the risk of infection and disease transmission
