Job Description

Summary

I’m an independent person, but I am looking for someone to help with everyday tasks such as going to the, accessing the community and to accompany me to social events. I love football and would love someone to take me to matches.

I am not necessarily looking for someone with experience, but its good to have some idea - training will be given.

The role involves personal care tasks, including toileting, assisting me to transfer in/out of my wheelchair and generally helping with things I cannot do independently.

Candidate qualities:

Respectful of the employer's privacy and confidentiality Reliable with good timekeeping Able to both follow instructions and work on own initiative. Hygienic, tidy and well organised Fit and healthy to undertake the required duties. Patient and possess excellent interpersonal skills. Honest and cheerful Creative Able to speak and read English to a reasonable standard. Must be comfortable with pets. Able to always work to high standards of health & safety.

The role requires close personal contact with an individual who is extremely vulnerable to the risk of infection and disease transmission. Preference may be given to applicants who have been fully vaccinated against Covid-19. Careful consideration will be given to applicants who can show the vaccination is not suitable for them on reasonable grounds. Non-smoker due to medical reasons Non-smoker preferred or someone willing to refrain from smoking during working hours. Vulnerable to the risk of infection and disease transmission
