Hourly pay rate:
£13.50, mileage if applicable 45p
I am a mother to a 17-year-old with Autism, developmental delay, severe speech and language delay, and sensoryprocessing challenges. We are looking for a dedicated personal assistant to support him to maintain his daily routineafter school.
He is a fun and outgoing special needs young adult. He is very interactive and loves to be out and about.
Duties include:
Medication prompting/administering
Personal grooming
Eating and drinking assistance
Moving and handling
Other relevant duties as required
Administration
Housekeeping
Shopping
Cooking
Transportation
Companionship
Gardening
Dressing / undressing
Bathroom assistance
Candidate qualities:
Respectful of the employer's privacy and confidentiality
Reliable with good timekeeping
Able to both follow instructions and work on own initiative
Hygienic, tidy and well organised
Fit and healthy to undertake the required duties
Patient and possess excellent interpersonal skills
Honest and cheerful
Creative
Able to speak and read English to a reasonable standard
Able to always work to high standards of health & safety
Additional requirements
Non-smoker preferred or someone willing to refrain from smoking during working hours
