Successful manufacturing business require an Operations Production Planner. An exciting end-to-end supply chain operations role, applicants from production planning, materials control, or administration backgrounds welcome.

The Operations Production Planner will be responsible for resource planning and order scheduling to meet customer demands. A methodical and analytical approach will be required to balance supply vs. demand, capacity plans and material lead times while satisfying customers and maximising company revenue/cash-flow.

Specific duties of the Operations Production Planner include:

Develop Production Plans and monitor/review their progress

Collaborate with procurement and manufacturing re: shortages and optimising material and resource usage

Monitor capacity plans

Implement best practice production planning and materials management methodologies

Seek to introduce LEAN principles into the planning function

Operations Production Planner applicants should meet the following criteria:

Previous experience working within a manufacturing business

Experience in, or understanding of; production planning, materials control, purchasing, logistics, planning

MRP/ERP literacy is desirable

Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Organised and self-motivated
