Metallurgical Quality Engineer

Metalis are seeking a Metallurgical Quality Controller to ensure the quality and safety of our clients metallurgical processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in metallurgy and quality inspection and have a keen eye for details when completing documentation and recording processes.

Duties and responsibilities:

Perform quality control inspections on metallurgical processes to ensure compliance with quality and safety standardsUse testing equipment and techniques to analyze the properties of metals and alloysDevelop and maintain quality control procedures and documentationInvestigate and address any quality or safety issues that arise during productionCollaborate with production and engineering teams to implement improvements to processes and materialsCommunicate with internal and external stakeholders regarding quality and safety issues and solutions

Key Areas

Be a technical point of contact for all queries relating to quality and safety.Accountable for the success of production line reducing NCRs.Communicate clearly with all areas of the business in particular the proofing team.

Job Requirements

Degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science, or related fieldProven experience in quality control and health and safety in a metallurgical or related environmentStrong knowledge of metallurgical processes, materials, and testing methodsExcellent problem–solving and analytical skillsStrong attention to detail and commitment to upholding quality and safety standards
