Established in 1999, Wasco Berhad (formerly known as Wah Seong Corporation Berhad) has evolved into a dynamic integrated infrastructure group. With a strong presence in Malaysia, we have successfully expanded our footprint globally across 17 countries worldwide

Wasco UK is based in Hartlepool and specialises in protective coatings for oil and gas pipelines. We are looking to appoint a Mechanical Technican, reporting to the Engineering Manager. The role is to be employed on a full–time basis.

Responsibilities of the role:

Ensure maintenance activities are safely and efficiently conducted at all times Ensure effective implementation of PPM programmes Identify opportunities to improve all maintenance activities so that unplanned down time is minimised Respond to breakdowns in an effective and timely manner ensure production is restored as safely and quickly as possible The successful candidate will have a minimum of NVQ Level 3 Mechanical Engineering time served and have awareness of electrical, pneumatics, hydraulics and fault finding. You will be a team player, have excellent communication skills and the ability to prioritise work load efficiently to minimise down time.
