We are looking for a Maintenance Person to join our friendly team at The Manton Heights Care Home, based in Bedford.

Duties / responsibilities:

* Weekly audits including but not limited to the following: fire alarms, water temperatures, inspecting premises including air conditioning and recording on forms;

* Low level maintenance work to ensure that the setting is safe and well maintained;

* Keep good records of all of the tasks you perform;

Requirements

* Relatively recent experience being a maintenance officer or caretaker;

* Multi Trader with experience in some of the following – decorating, minor plumbing, handy man duties – as well as minor joinery ,electrical PAT testing of items etc;

* Preferably prior experience working in a care home environment (while it is preferred, this is not essential)

* Availability for occasional call outs;

* Lives reasonably locally, i.e. within a reasonable travelling distance
