We are currently recruiting for a Permanent Maintenance Advisor on behalf of our client, a forward–thinking social landlord committed to the development of both their clients and staff. This role is based at their offices in Bedfordshire.

We are seeking candidates with proven experience in compliance and health & safety roles, as well as professional qualifications (or equivalent) relevant to this position.

Responsibilities:

As the Maintenance Advisor your key duties will include:

Ensuring all compliance information is centrally located within the data system and maintaining 100% cycle maintenance to keep the organisation legally compliant. Keeping property–related Health & Safety records updated, including contractor insurances, RAMS, and trade qualifications. Managing accurate compliance data and ensuring records are accessible and reportable at all times. Overseeing contractors performing compliance activities, monitoring contract resourcing, and conducting regular contract management meetings. Using key performance indicators to monitor contractor performance, and escalating issues to the Property Services Manager and Head of Property Services as necessary. Managing and developing the Compliance Officer role, ensuring internal checks are up–to–date. Working closely with the Property Services Manager and Head of Property Services to ensure compliance with all Health & Safety legislation. Identifying and flagging any overdue services, inspections, or assessments. Implementing a cyclical servicing, testing, and inspection regime, working with the scheduling team to ensure maintenance is effectively planned.
