Licensing Officer - at Castle Point Borough

Location: Castle Point

Salary Range: £36.00 - £37.00 per hour

As a Licensing Officer at Castle Point Borough Council, you will play a crucial role in enforcing licensing conditions, with the possibility of a contract extension after the initial 6-month period.

Enforce licensing conditions and conduct visits to premises and other locations.

Availability for late night and weekend visits as part of normal duties (estimated 5-10 hours per week).

Conduct duties with the aim of ensuring public safety and compliance.

Collaborate with internal teams to maintain up-to-date knowledge of licensing laws and regulations.

Prepare detailed reports and documentation related to licensing compliance. Preferred Requirements

Experience in enforcing licensing conditions or relevant regulatory work.

Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders.

Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Sound knowledge of licensing laws and regulations.

Ability to work independently and make informed decisions when necessary. Preferred Qualifications

Degree or relevant certification in Law, Public Administration, or related field.

Professional accreditation in licensing, enforcement, or regulatory affairs.

Any additional relevant licensing or enforcement training or certifications
