Job Title: Learning Support Assistant needed in Sutton Coldfield!

Location: Sutton Coldfield

Start Date: Immediate Start

Salary: £80 - £90 per day

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a lovely Primary SEND school in Sutton Coldfield supporting with their recruitment for a SEND Learning Support Assistant. The setting is centred on pupil’s development, as well as an intrinsic desire to make progress both academically and with their own emotional, social and behavioural skills.

The school is seeking a passionate team player to take on this short-term role, although there is potential for this to become a long-term placement for the right SEND Learning Support Assistant. The successful SEND Learning Support Assistant will bring a new dimension and skill set to this role, be keen to develop their own skills to adapt to the children’s individual needs and have a positive impact on the wider school.

The position will involve working with students across all Key Stages with diagnosis of Autism / ASD, SLD / Severe Learning Difficulties, PMLD / Profound multiple learning difficulties and challenging behaviours. A proactive thinker with the ability to take control of situations confidently is necessary.

The successful SEND Learning Support Assistant will have:

Experience working with children with additional needs / disabilities

Experience working with students with Social Emotional Mental Health (SEMH) and challenging behaviours

Level 2 or 3 CACHE or equivalent

Team-Teach or MAPA qualifications desirable
