With the rapid growth of my client s business, they are looking for a Lead Maintenance Engineer to come on board during this exciting time. The division manufactures various wellbeing vitamins and associated powders. They are looking for an experienced and well organised engineer to come on board and lead their engineering operations in their current and future facilities as they look to expand into their neighbouring warehouse. Their preferred candidate will have both new project machinery installation and maintenance engineering background. Shift is 6am - 2pm

Lead Maintenance Engineer role:

Reporting to the Facility & Communications manager, the Lead Maintenance Engineer will be very hands on, supporting the production team on the floor and the working with the management team to plan, purchase and develop the existing and new facility. Day shift 6am - 2pm. You will be responsible for:

Recording and ensuring compliance with all regulation requirements, licensing conditions, records of maintenance both PPM and reactive. Carrying out daily checks of plants, equipment, and fabric to provide safe environment to allow safe food production. Maintain relevant records and their completion in a timely manner. Performing monthly PPM checks and planned maintenance routines. Managing spare parts for repair work carried out. Advising on additional and continues improvements. Project management of the purchase of new machinery ordering, lead times, transition, and fitting. Educating management and operatives when required, providing instruction and guidance to the trainers and production team on all machinery, basic maintenance, and changeovers. Maintaining equipment to provide safe, & efficient production, adhering to all HSE regulations / policies Minimising production downtime by attending machinery faults. Working towards maximising efficiencies through, machinery maintenance, processes, and new equipment. Managing and Participating in the machines and process failure analysis. Must be data driven and able to analyse. Familiarity with inkjet & laser printing, conveyors, and sealers. Core hours being Monday to Friday 6am till 2pm

Lead Maintenance Engineer requirement:

Good knowledge of: HACCP / SALSA /BRC and/or other food accreditation.

Experience working in a powder filling machinery (Matcon)

Food safety and allergen awareness.

Attention to detail.

Strong communicator

Well organized and motivated.

Can work as a team and on their own.

Can prioritize work.

Computer literate.

UK Driving License

Lead Maintenance Engineer package:

Salary GBP42k + Bonus

Overtime paid over 40hrs
