We are looking for a kitchen assistant for The Brooklyn Cafe in Shawlands.

The role will involve a mix of running the dishwasher and food prep, there is space to also help in the front kitchen with service if you like or you can stick to the back kitchen and prep jobs, the team will adapt and the role can be built to suit your skills and preferred sections.

The cafe is open 9am to 4pm seven days a week, With Saturday and Sunday being our peak times.

Pay will start on NMW plus an even share if the daily tips. Rates can be discussed after you find your rhythm and depending on how many stations across the kitchen that you are up to speed with there is scope for increase.

The number of hours can be adjusted to suit but we need someone who can do at least 2 shifts per week, with up to five shifts available if required.
